Napa Wine Class Partners with Commonwealth Wine School to Expand Wine Education and Launch “WSET in the Vineyard” Program.

Napa, CA & Cambridge, MA — February 2026

Napa Wine Class, a Napa Valley–based
education center focused on immersive wine learning experiences, is proud to announce a new
partnership with Commonwealth Wine School, a premier provider of globally recognized wine
and spirits education. This strategic collaboration will broaden access to WSET Level Award in
Wines 1, 2, and 3 certification courses in California and launch an innovative new program:
“WSET in the Vineyard.”

As part of this initiative, Monika Bielka‑Vescovi, founder of Napa Wine Class and an
internationally respected wine educator, joins the Commonwealth Wine School faculty. She will ead the new “WSET in the Vineyard” program—an immersive curriculum that combines
WSET’s academic structure with site-based learning in Napa Valley’s iconic vineyards and
wineries. In addition, she will be teaching WSET Level 2 Award in Wines through WSET
Diploma courses in San Francisco.

“This collaboration brings together two educational visions: Commonwealth’s excellence instructured certification and Napa Wine Class’s dedication to experiential learning,” said Monika
Bielka‑Vescovi. “I’m excited to help students go beyond the textbook and truly connect with
wine at its source.”

Monika has long championed experiential wine education on a global scale, drawing from over
two decades of teaching, tasting, and travel through some of the world’s most important wine
regions. She has developed and led programs in Poland, Ukraine, and the United States,
engaging both emerging wine professionals and dedicated enthusiasts.

Her teaching philosophy centers on bridging theory with hands-on learning—connecting
students with winemakers in their cellars, walking vineyards to understand terroir, and tasting
with intention to link sensory experience with science and tradition. Her global work continues to inspire learners to engage deeply with the people, places, and practices that define the wine world.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Monika to our teaching team and to collaborate with Napa Wine
Class,” said Jessica Sculley, Director of Commonwealth Wine School. “Her passion for
experiential learning and her global perspective align perfectly with our mission to offer dynamic,
world-class wine education.”

The partnership gives students the opportunity to pursue WSET certifications through a program
that emphasizes academic rigor and practical application. With both classroom instruction and
immersive vineyard sessions, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of viticulture,
winemaking, and wine evaluation.

Napa Wine Class has earned recognition for delivering accessible, high-quality wine education
through in-person and online wine courses, curated tastings, and Napa-centric educational
content. This new partnership integrates that hands-on approach into Commonwealth’s
renowned certification programs—offering students a richly layered learning experience that
bridges the classroom and the vineyard.
